    UConn Master of Public Policy

    UConn's Master of Public Policy Program is an oppurtunity to apply your skillset as students of economics. The program is built around applied microeconomics. In this  program, students learn to judge policies and programs, plan and evaluate alternatives, and implement changes to the public, nonprofit, and public sectors. 

    Careers

    Graduates of this program have gone on to have careers in a variety of fields, including:

    • Finance
    • Program Evaluation
    • Policy Analysis
    • Research and Data Analysis

    UConn's MPP program has a 100% job placement rate. 

    Fast-Track

    The fast-track program is available to all UConn undergraduate students, at any campus, and of any major. Students should have a 3.3 GPA or higher in order to be admitted; however, applicants lower than a 3.3 GPA will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Students can take graduate courses during their undergraduate career without additional charge to tuition. Students can earn enough credits to enter the program as a 2nd year, meaning they will be eligible for IPP.

    Internship and Professional Practice (IPP)

    Once in their second year, MPP students can enter internship and professional practice through an internship with a public or nonprofit organization for an entire academic year. Compensation includes: 585 hours of skilled experience, stipend, medical benefits, tuition scholarship, and course credit.
