  • Are you Interested in Pursuing a BS in ECON?

If you are interested in pursuing the BS in Economics and need ECON 2212Q Quantitative Intermediate Macroeconomics (for those who haven't taken 2202), please waitlist for ECON 2212Q in Studentadmin so we may determine demand and need for the course.

    How to Waitlist:

If the course is not in your shopping cart:

    • Search for class
    • On the permission number screen, click the box that says "waitlist if full"
    • Click the green buttons until it is in your shopping cart
    • Select the class and click "enroll"
    • Continue to click the green button until you see a confirmation at the end that says "Class is full, you've been added to the waitlist"

If the course is in your shopping cart:

    • Go to your shopping cart in studentadmin
    • Click on the blue course link for ECON 2212Q
    • The permission number screen will open, click the box that says "waitlist if full"
    • Click the green buttons until it is back in your shopping cart
    • Select the class and click "enroll"
    • Continue to click the green button until you see a confirmation at the end that says "Class is full, you've been added to the waitlist"

You must meet the pre-requisite to waitlist, which is ECON 1202 and Calculus (see plan of study for calc options)

We give priority to ECON BS majors and give priority based on class standing (seniors first, then juniors...)

If you are pursuing the BA in ECON, you may still opt to take ECON 2212Q for your Intermediate Macroeconomics and your 3rd Q requirement.

If you are not sure whether you plan to pursue the BA or BS in ECON, it is advised to take ECON 2211Q and 2212Q for your intermediates so you may still choose. If you have already taken 2201 and/or 2202, you may still select the BS in ECON with an approved substitution. Please see an ECON advisor for more info on the substitution.
