    JOUR 2010 Journalism in the Movies - Online

    Summer Session 1, May 29-June 29, 

    This online course is open to all majors.  Students watch and then discuss a range of major motion pictures with journalism themes, from Orson Welles "Citizen Kane" to the 2016 Academy Award winning film "Spotlight." Themes from the film that will be examined include the nature of news, historical development of the press, journalism ethics and law, the role of broadcast and investigative journalism and the changing nature of journalism and the news.
