Borderlands: A Critical Graduate Symposium

Please join us on March 30th & 31st, 2018 at the 3rdannual Borderlands graduate symposium at University of Connecticut (Storrs). Faculty. graduate, and undergraduate students, and staff are welcome to attend!
A wide range of perspectives on bodies, subjectivity, identity, and inequality will be featured throughout the two-day conference. Dr. Danielle Roper (University of Chicago) will give a keynote lecture entitled “Impersonating la Negrita: Afrocolombian Women in Blackface” on Saturday, March 31st, 2018 at 1:00pm in Laurel Hall. Lunch on both days, along with a small breakfast on Saturday will be available on a first-come, first serve basis.
The full schedule, including a list of session locations and presentation titles, can be found at the Borderlands website. The conference is free and open to the public, students, community members, staff, and faculty are welcomed to attend.
