  • PP Accepting Apps for MPA, MPP, SRDA, & 4+1

    The School of Public Policy is currently accepting Fall 2023 applications for our graduate programs in Public Administration, Public Policy, the newly renamed Survey Research and Data Analysis, and our Fast-Track 4+1 program! Below is more information about each opportunity – please share with your students! They are welcome to schedule a meeting with our team, submit a request for information, or attend an upcoming information session.

    For Seniors (apply by May 15):

    • Master of Public Administration (MPA): This 50-year-old, only NASPAA-accredited in CT program provides students with the skills to excel in the field of public affairs. Alumni are leaders in nonprofit organizations and in government at the national, state, and local levels. 
    • Master of Public Policy (MPP): Centered on the analysis of real-world problems, this program provides students with the analytic and quantitative skills necessary to design, analyze, and evaluate the success of policies. Alumni go on to successful careers as policy analysts, research associates, program analysts, and finance/budget analysts.
    • M.A. in Survey Research and Data Analysis (SRDA): This entirely online program provides extensive training in all stages of the survey research process, including project design and management, questionnaire construction, sampling, methods of data collection, data analysis, and reporting. Many graduates go on to careers in public opinion polling, management, market research, health care, and public policy.

    For Sophomores and Juniors (rolling admission):

    • The Fast-Track allows students to take graduate-level coursework towards a Master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA), Public Policy (MPP), or Survey Research and Data Analysis (MASR) at no-additional cost to their undergraduate tuition.
    • Coursework is offered online, in Storrs, and in Hartford.
    • Students tracking toward MPA or MPP earn enough credits to enter graduate school eligible for a paid internship placement offering a tuition scholarship and access to subsidized health insurance through our signature Internship and Professional Practice (IPP) program.
    • Eligibility: any campus, any major, GPA 3.3 or higher (below that considered on a case-by-case basis)
