Husky Ambassadors are student volunteers for our Husky-for-a-Day Program, which allows prospective students to shadow current UConn students. Ambassadors go about their day as normal in order to show prospective students what it is like being a student at UConn – the prospective students experience college academics, student organizations, and the resources that UConn has to offer by seeing it all firsthand. Ambassadors involved in Husky-for-a-Day can choose which events they would like to participate in, and scheduling is incredibly flexible. You can choose to volunteer for a single event or multiple – any involvement is appreciated! This program is also a great stepping stone for students interested in a paid position within the Office of Admissions or the Lodewick Visitors Center in the future!
If you are interested in getting involved or learning more about the program, please fill out the interest form and attend one of our Fall 2022 Training Sessions (listed below). These sessions only need to be completed once and will give you all of the information you need to volunteer for any of the Husky-for-a-Day events throughout the year. They will all be held in the Presentation Room of the Lodewick Visitors Center (115 North Eagleville Rd. – Next to Ted’s and across from Gant/Northwest). No RSVP is required, just attend whichever training best fits your schedule!
