    Social Media Intern

    The Social Media intern at the University Communications will work to help meet the goals of the department. Work responsibilities will include the following:

    • Create and share posts on social media platforms in coordination with various departments
    • Assist in creating graphics and visuals for social media posts
    • Capture real-time moments for social media in the form of videos and photos
    • Help in the ideation and execution of social campaigns
    • Gather and analyze digital and social analytic reports during, and at the conclusion of, campaigns.
    • University Communications is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.

    Multimedia Intern

    The Multimedia Intern provides technical and creative skills in audio/video production and assists the Multimedia Producers in carrying out a wide range of video production activities. This includes pre-production, scheduling, shooting and editing video, and publishing / promoting videos on social media. Work responsibilities will include the following:

    • The intern will have the opportunity to collaborate and be mentored by multimedia producers and serve as an assistant on video shoots
    • The intern will work towards a more independent production role over the course of the semester, culminating in several finished videos toward the end of the semester that are focused in areas of their interest.
    • The intern will learn from other communications professionals and have the opportunity to work with writers, editors and web designers.
    • The intern will have the opportunity to learn new about new video production software and hardware outside of the department through online training resources that are available
    • University Communications is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
