Internships

  • Internship with Gov. Lamont's Office

Position: Constituent Services and External Affairs Intern

"We are currently seeking interns for the fall and spring semesters. In the Office of Constituent Service and External Affairs, interns will be dealing directly with the constituency of Connecticut on behalf of Governor Lamont. What this entails is assisting constituents with issues they may be having with state agencies, listening to ideas/comments they may have about proposed legislation or issues facing the state and sorting through correspondence sent to the Office of the Governor.

Interns in this office will have to be up to date and knowledgeable about current events in the state and will periodically need to track bills as they move through the legislative process. In addition, a prime function of interns will be to collect data regarding the concerns and opinions of Connecticut’s constituency so that reports can be prepared for senior staff and Governor Lamont."

Applications are rolling. Apply via Handshake: https://uconn.joinhandshake.com/stu/jobs/5453187, or follow the directions on this website and send the information to Kathy (Kathryn.Damato@ct.gov).
