Careers in Advocacy Panel on November 4th from 6-7 pm.
This event will bring together representatives from advocacy organizations to share their experience regarding working in advocacy as well as their specific role. This an exciting opportunity for the communications students and will be very educational!
The panelists are categorized based on important advocacy issues, and we will have one representative from each category. The confirmed panelists we have so far (broken down by category) are as follows:
- Diversity and inclusion initiative - Calida Jones
- Environmental advocacy - John DarrochMannix of Citizens Campaign
- LGBTQ+ advocacy - Raffy Rios of the Anti-Violence Project
- Mental health advocacy - Lisa Winjum of NAMI CT
Students can sign up through Handshake and should receive a pre-panel survey that will provide us with information for the event!
