Emotional literacy: connecting with your students - Center for the Professional Education of Teachers

UConn Connects is seeking undergraduate students to serve as UConn Connects Peer Mentors for the spring 2021 semester.

UConn Connects Peer Mentors assist students in achieving their academic and personal goals. UConn Connects Mentors meet with student mentees on a weekly basis to advise, guide, and support them as they navigate the university.

In its 30th year of supporting students’ success, UConn Connects is the University’s largest volunteer mentoring program offered by the Academic Achievement Center (AAC). UConn Connects is an academic intervention program, designed to provide students with the skills and support needed for long-term academic success.

Earn Course Credit: Serving as a mentor requires attending a pre-semester training and enrollment in a 3 credit 120-hour internship course. (NOTE: this is NOT the COMM 4991 Internship in Communication course.)
