Some of the questions on the FAQ’s page:

What is the structure of the Virtual Internship Program?

    • The programs consists of two required components, comprising at least 120 hours of internship for 3 UConn credits and 15 hours of coursework for 1 UConn credit. Typically, internships will start one week into the semester, and the student will work 2-3 days per week.

How many credits should I be enrolled in to remain a full-time UConn student for the semester?

    • In addition to the 4 credits you will receive for the virtual global internship, you must maintain full-time student status (at least 12 credits) to participate in this program and remain eligible for any financial aid. Students should plan to register for their remaining credits at their home UConn campus as usual. You may need to complete additional documentation to request permission to exceed the maximum allowable credits (17 credits) for the term.
    • Consider carefully whether you will have the time to balance the rest of your semester’s coursework with this internship program.
    • Students participating in the Honors Congressional Internship program will be enrolled in 15 credits.

What is the cost structure to the programs?

    • These are Fee-Based Programs  which will charge Program Fees, not UConn tuition. Program Fees will appear on students’ UConn fee bills, along with the Education Abroad Fee and other UConn semester charges. SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE!
