  • WHY CAN'T I GET INTO THIS CLASS?

    If you are getting a red X when trying to enroll in a course, it is likely one of these reasons:

    The ECON Dept does not allow taking a course without its pre-req or concurrently. Please take the pre-req course first. 

     

    Check the Dynamic Class Search in Studentadmin to see if open seats are reserved for a certain population of students and if you meet that population.

    For grad level ECON course permission numbers, ask the instructor.

     

    To request to take 18 credits or more, you must have earned at least a 2.6 or above term GPA last spring 2020 semester (Not cumulative). If you meet this:

    1) To take 18 credits, ask the registrar's office to increase your limit: registrar@uconn.edu or 860-486-3331

    2) To take more than 18 credits, fill out this excess credit request form:https://advising.clas.uconn.edu/forms/

    It will be reviewed by the CLAS ASC who will reply to you. www.advising.clas.uconn.edu
