Join UConn Alum Fernando Alfonso, III for an engaging conversation about his career journey leading to his current job as a reporter for CNN in Atlanta where he writes breaking news and features. He has worked for Forbes, the Houston Chronicle, and Lexington Herald-Leader. While at the Chronicle, he was part of the team that was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in breaking news for its Hurricane Harvey coverage. Hear how Fernando had his internship canceled as he was about to start his dream job as a journalist, and how he persevered through an economy and circumstances he had no control over.
