Are you applying to medical or dental school as part of the 2021 application cycle (i.e., submitting an application in the summer of 2020 to begin health professional school in the fall of 2021)? Please note the following:
- Make sure you are subscribed to the Pre-Medical/Dental Center’s weekly newsletter. The newsletter’s 2021 cycle application corner is the #1 place we will distribute information related to the application process and our office’s internal deadlines. If you are not currently subscribed to it, please email premed_predental@uconn.edu from your UConn email and request to be added. Note: this is a different emailing list from any student organizations.
- Our spring schedule of application cycle-oriented workshops can now be found at https://premed.uconn.edu/advising-appointments/. Recordings of all four workshops will be uploaded to our website after the fact for those who can’t make it in person.
- All applicants who will be requesting a composite letter of recommendation from our office are responsible for knowing the information that will be presented at the 2021 Cycle Application Orientation on 2/6. This session will provide information about the various application services and components used by health professional schools, standardized testing, timelines, the composite letter of recommendation vs. individual letters of recommendation, our own internal processes for the composite letter, and how to navigate our electronic portal.
