The Summer Undergraduate Research Fund (SURF) Award program provides thousands of dollars in support of undergraduate students' summer research or creative projects. The SURF program is open to undergraduate students in all majors at all campuses who plan to graduate no earlier than December 2020. Students can apply for funding of up to $4,000 per student.
The SURF application will open in early December. The application deadline is February 3, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. Please encourage interested students to attend one of the upcoming SURF Information Sessions to learn how to apply and what makes an application successful!

The Office of Undergraduate Research will also be holding SURF Office Hours for students with questions about the SURF program. Students are welcome to bring their draft project proposal, budget, or timeline for review. Additional office hours will be held in January prior to the application deadline.
