Welcome new Honors advisors and welcome back returning Honors advisors! As the semester gets started I want to make sure everyone knows that I’m a resource for any questions about Honors requirements or policies. I’m happy to meet or answer a phone call or e-mail. I also encourage you to utilize the resources available on the Honors Advising for Faculty and Staff webpages. I think you’ll find our Honors Program Advisor Guide and Advisor Toolbox particularly useful. In October, be on the lookout for information about our in-person advisor update sessions. More info will be shared in the October edition of the Honors Advisor Digest.
As the add/drop/swap period continues, you may find it useful to have information about Honors course offerings handy. If you’re working with first year students the important thing to remember is that first year students MUST be enrolled in a section of UNIV 1784 by Sept. 9 or they’ll be eligible for dismissal from Honors.
