  • Getting Started in Undergraduate Research

OUR is committed to supporting undergraduate students in taking proactive steps to get involved in undergraduate research. For students at this early stage of exploration, we recommend one of the following options:

    1. Attending an OUR Getting Started workshop. This workshop is offered 11 times during the fall semester, with a range of weekdays and times to accommodate different student schedules. A listing of all workshop dates, times, and locations is available at https://ugradresearch.uconn.edu/workshops/
    2. Coming to OUR Drop-In Advising. Drop-in advising offers students the opportunity to bring their questions to Peer Research Ambassadors and OUR advisors, who can orient them to the basics of undergraduate research at UConn. Drop-in hours are held twice weekly: Tuesdays 5-7pm in Rowe 213, and Fridays 2-4pm in Rowe 420, starting on September 10th and running through November 15th.
