The purpose of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) is to help ensure the vitality and diversity of the scientific and engineering workforce of the United States. Must not have completed more than 12 months of full-time graduate study or its equivalent by August of the application due date year. Prospective Fellows must enroll in a university, college, or non-profit academic institution of higher education accredited in, and having a campus located in, the US that offers advanced degrees in science and engineering no later a year after the application due date.
