    Sikorsky Communications Intern 

    Applications are now being accepted for the 2019 Sikorsky Communications Intern Program. 

    Selected candidate(s) will receive a paid internship at Sikorsky, based in Stratford, Connecticut, for the summer through fall semester.

    To apply, you must be a full-time undergraduate sophomore, junior, senior or graduate level School of Communications student, in good academic standing with a minimum 3.0 cumulative G.P.A. and have no existing or pending conduct sanctions.

    Internship Expectations:

    • Internships will be within the strategic communication department at Sikorsky, based in Stratford, Connecticut.
    • You will work closely with the Sikorsky communications team to plan events, work with a variety of digital mediums, create integrated communications plans and more.

    Desired Skills

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to adapt to a variety of tasks to complete a project
    • Ability to plan with and work cooperatively with others
    • Experience with video, PowerPoint, social media channels
    • Strong work ethic and positive attitude

     

    Sikorsky Communications Intern Program Application

    To apply, you must submit ALL of the following:

    1. A resume and this fully completed application form.
    2. An attached essay of no more than 500 words written by you on what the communicator of the future will look like.
    3. A letter of recommendation from a faculty member or from a supervisor at a place where you have been employed or have been an intern. This letter MUST be sent directly by the individual making the recommendation, not attached to this application form, to the address below. Please ask the letter writer to put “Sikorsky/(your last name)” in the subject line of the email.
    4. Examples of two projects in communications, which were the result of your independent work in class, or as a member of a student organization. This may be in written, video, graphic, or oral form, or a combination of elements.
    5. The application AND the letter of recommendation must be submitted no later than May 03, 2019.   
    6. Please put “Sikorsky/ (your last name)” in the subject line of all materials and send them to:carolyn.fales@lmco.com
