I would like to invite you to serve as a student marshal during the 2019 Honors Medals Ceremony on Saturday, May 4, 2019. In this role you will help the Honors and University Events and Conference Services (UECS) team coordinate the movements of the graduating Honors Scholars. The Medals Ceremony will take place in the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts. The ceremony begins at 10:30 am and runs for approximately one hour and a half. However, we ask that student volunteers arrive by 9:15 am. Attire for the day is professional. The day of the event, you will work closely with a member of the UECS team.
There will be an event walk-through on Thursday, May 2 at 3:30 pm. During the walk-through, you will have an opportunity to practice your duties and ask questions. Student marshals are an integral part of the event and participation provides a wonderful opportunity to say goodbye (for now) to graduating friends.
