  • Temple Bnai Israel Marketing/Comm Asst

    Temple B’nai Israel is looking for a creative candidate who can help our Temple develop and continue an integrated marketing strategy designed to increase awareness of the synagogue and effectively communicate our wish to provide an inspiring environment for the Jewish community in Northeastern Connecticut.

    This part-time contract requires strong communications and organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and the desire to work with our member(s) to implement a continuing marketing and communications program. A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Communications or related field is required, including the ability to use social media and other marketing techniques. Passion and knowledge of the Jewish community is preferred; however, Temple Bnai Israel is committed to diversity in our search.

    This position is funded by a one-time grant. Salary will be $25-30/hr. No benefits are included.

    Candidates should be able to:

    Write clear and persuasive copy across multiple marketing channels.

    Work closely with a designated Temple member to ensure the ability to continue the program

    Design, curate, and develop new content for social media channels.

    Assist in the development and production of high-quality materials including but not limited to flyers, videos, and search engine placement.

    Maintain positive relationships with Temple membership, staff and community at large.
