I hope you will register to participate in HackUConn 2019, an event that provides an opportunity for students to make an impact in the community!
HackUConn situates students in an environment with innovators and mentors and challenges them to identify a problem around a theme, to design a solution with a team, and to pitch their idea before a panel judges, all over the span of 24 hours.
There will be a top prize of $2000 as well as other prizes for runner-ups in the competition. Free food is provided throughout the 24 hours, as well as awesome perks such as T-shirts, water bottles, and more!
This year's HackUConn theme is Healthcare and Technology. No experience in medicine, technology, or business is necessary! All majors of all backgrounds are welcome! Please make sure to spread the word!
There will be representatives from local companies at the event to mentor students as they develop their ideas. This also provides students with a unique networking opportunity. Last year, a few students were offered internship opportunities on the spot. An experience like this is also great to talk about in interviews, so it is an ideal experience builder for students who have not yet obtained their first internship or job!
