CORPORATE HOSPITALITY VOLUNTEER PROGRAM - PGA CHAMPIONSHIP

In May of 2019, Major Championship golf returns to Bethpage State Park when the 2019 PGA Championship is contested on the iconic Black Course. Featuring the deepest international field in golf, the PGA Championship attracts over 200,000 golf fans each year and boasts a corporate hospitality program servicing more than 100 corporate clients on-site.

Given the size and scope of modern day Championship golf, nearly 1,000 part-time employees and over 3,600 volunteers are required to accommodate the large-scale fanfare and business operation associated with a PGA Championship.

Built as a way to foster and develop young talent, the PGA of America has developed an experiential program that affords students of accredited universities the opportunity to gain experience at a major, international sporting event through the service of valued hospitality clients.

On-site representatives will have the opportunity to interact with event planners, marketing managers and C-level executives of fortune 500 companies while providing assistance and support to the Championship’s hospitality operation. Ideal candidates are those with a passion for hospitality, the business of Sports Entertainment and inclination towards hands-on learning.
