  • Are you on an ECON Course Waitlist?

Are you on an ECON Course Waitlist?

Be sure to always check your Uconn email over winter break in case you get an email with a Permission # to use. If you are issued a P#, you will have a limited time in which to use it.

How to Waitlist for an ECON course:

Not all ECON courses have a waitlist.

If it does NOT have a waitlist:

Keep the course on your shopping cart and keep watch on it over break. If a seat opens up, it's available to first come first served. If the seat is reserved for ECON majors or minors, only ECON majors/minors will be able to enroll.

If the course has a waitlist set up in Studentadmin:

Waitlist for it as soon as possible. We give priority to majors, minors, then others, and class standing (seniors first, then juniors...). If all is equal, we go based on date priority when the student waitlisted.

You must meet any pre-requisites to waitlist. For pre-reqs, see course descriptions in the www.catalog.uconn.edu or click on the course info link in studentadmin.

    How to Waitlist:

If the course is not in your shopping cart:

    • Search for class
    • On the permission number screen, click the box that says "waitlist if full"
    • Click the green buttons until it is in your shopping cart
    • Select the class and click "enroll"
    • Continue to click the green button until you see a confirmation at the end that says "Class is full, you've been added to the waitlist"

If the course is in your shopping cart:

    • Go to your shopping cart in studentadmin
    • Click on the blue course link for ECON 2212Q
    • The permission number screen will open, click the box that says "waitlist if full"
    • Click the green buttons until it is back in your shopping cart
    • Select the class and click "enroll"
    • Continue to click the green button until you see a confirmation at the end that says "Class is full, you've been added to the waitlist"
