The Rowe Scholars Program is sponsoring two upcoming events. This Sunday, April 8, Rowe and the Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students (MAPS) are co-sponsoring a 5K, the proceeds from which will be used to provide supplies for Hartford schools.
On April 18, the Annual John and Valerie Rowe Scholars Visiting Lecture will be given at 5:00 pm in the Student Union Theatre. The lecturer will be Alicia Ely Yamin, JD, MPH of Harvard Law School and the Chr. Michelsen Institute for Science and Intellectual Freedom, who will be speaking on the topic ‘Are Human Rights Still Relevant to Advancing Global Health?’.
