    The Honors in STEM Executive Board is writing to let you know there are four positions open for the 2018-2019 Honors in STEM Executive Board!

     

    The following form must be completed by Thursday, April 5th, at 2:00pm in order for your application to be considered.

    HSTEM Exec Board

     

    Positions Available:

     

    Education Coordinator- Share responsibility for promoting academic performance and success within the organization. Promote professional development, events connecting students to alumni, faculty, grad students, industry reps, and conference attendance. Organize and execute at least two Education oriented events per semester. One event should be academically driven. One event should be research driven.  

     

    Outreach Coordinator- Share responsibility for working to get children and underrepresented populations excited about and engaged with STEM through opportunities such as tutoring, presentations in schools, etc. Promote a greater understanding and appreciation of STEM topics amongst the UConn population and the general public. Establish and maintain working relations with the other STEM based student organizations to enrich the quality of the events and programs that can be provided to the students. Organize and execute at least two Outreach oriented events per semester either within or outside the UConn community.

     

    Programming Coordinator- Share responsibility for serving as a liaison to faculty, departments, other student organizations, and external partners for events coordination. Advocate on behalf of different populations within STEM. Reach out to the general population through means of social media, advertising, and/or email. Serve as the principle group responsible for raising funds, organizing the populous, and executing planned events or projects in order to achieve such goals. Organize and execute at least two Program oriented events per semester.
