Prosek Partners: Public Relations Development Program in Fairfield, CT

Prosek Partners has established itself as a premier firm in the B2B Public Relations space and takes pride in our number one asset that has allowed us to gain this recognition: our people. Prosek’s Public Relations Development Program is designed for recent college graduates who are interested in starting a career in the public relations industry. We refer to participants in this program as Prosek Apprentices.

This full-time, paid development program allows for people who are new to the industry to grain practical experience and exposure to day-to-day agency work while participating in ongoing professional development sessions. We partner our Apprentices with a manager, mentor and media buddy to help them prioritize their work, navigate the financial media landscape and learn from their colleagues.

    About the Program
We are currently accepting applications for our Summer 2018 program, which will run from June to September. This is a 40-hour/week paid position in our Fairfield, CT office. Best of all, we will be evaluating all our Prosek Apprentices for full-time positions in our Fairfield, CT office upon the conclusion of the program.

    What will Apprentices do?
Apprentices receive an immersive, hands-on experience in a real-world PR agency setting. The role of the Apprentice is very similar in form and function to that of an entry-level PR professional, with an emphasis on training and learning. The bottom line is that Apprentices do “real” work; whether it’s pitching the media, devising strategy, or writing press releases, we aim to expose Apprentices to every aspect of PR.

Apprentices work across various industries in financial and professional services, including asset management, insurance, commercial and retail banking, investment banking, fintech, legal/consulting, and hedge funds/alternatives.

What skills will a Prosek Apprentice gain?
As an Apprentice, you will gain an understanding of what a career in public relations entails and how companies incorporate and utilize public relations to build and expand their brands.

On top of the learning experiences it affords our Apprentices, Prosek’s PR Development Program is an important hiring conduit for the firm. Apprentices are hired with an eye toward future full-time employment. Over 90% of Apprentices are hired full-time and more than 40% of Prosek Partners’ staff are former Apprentices.
