Account Coordinator/Social Media Internship (Summer)

DORNENBURG KALLENBACH ADVERTISING (DKA) is a full-service advertising and marketing communications agency founded in 1994 and located in Bloomfield, Connecticut. DKA puts senior-level professionals to work on your most critical communications challenges.

Internship Requirements:
• Working toward earning Bachelor’s degree within 1 to 2 years, with experience in advertising/marketing/public relations, including writing and distribution of project plans, budgets, press releases, newsletters, fact sheets, etc.
• Experience dealing directly with business and media contacts 
• Social media experience using Facebook, Twitter, Linkedln, Google+, YouTube, etc.
• Knowledge of AP Style
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Intern Responsibilities:
• Assist agency account service staff and develop relationships with existing clients
• Manage specific client projects from inception to completion, coordinate workflow within agency and client departments, manage timelines and budgets
• Monitor daily news coverage and top stories/trends in client businesses and industries
• Coordinate traditional and social media opportunities
• Build and maintain positive relationships with media representatives and continually identify new opportunities
• Update social media sites with content, both client-provided and self-published

This is an unpaid internship, but we will work with students who wish to earn credit through their academic institution.
