Volunteer & Community Relations Intern

Overview

The Travelers Championship is currently seeking a student for the Volunteers and Community Relations internship position. This internship position will begin as soon as possible and will continue through July. This year the Travelers Championship will be held on June 18-24, 2018. Students can receive course credit during the academic year and a $1500 stipend during the summer months. The internship will take place in Hartford, CT for the Spring months and in Cromwell, CT at the beginning of April.

 

Internship Role Description

This position will play a key role in assisting the tournament's volunteer program and fundraising programs. For the volunteer program, this position will be in charge of communicating with volunteers and the Executive Committee leadership team pre-tournament on a regular basis. Under community relations, this role will support the management of the fundraising programs by organizing registrations, charity communication and website creation. This role will also help coordinate nonprofit outreach, charity donations and with the execution of various charity and volunteer events throughout the year.
