    PBR New Engand Internship Program

    Love baseball and want to potentially make a career of it?

    Or, have a passion for social media and marketing?

    An internship with PBR may be a good first step.

    The PBR internship provides an excellent opportunity for candidates to work in a number of areas, including scouting, marketing, video and written journalism, and event logistics

    The PBR New England internship provides an excellent opportunity for candidates to learn scouting and scouting terminology while also receiving a platform in which the interns can meet individuals from the scouting and college recruiting community. 

    SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

    We are seeking qualified students, preferably studying marketing or communications with a strong understanding of the game of baseball. It is required that the candidates have strong writing and compositional skills.

    Dates: Immediate

    Location: This position may include traveling to PBR events, but isn't a requirement.

    Primary responsibilities:

    • Work hand-in-hand with state directors to develop and implement social media marketing plan

    • Utilize Sprout Social (www.sproutsocial.com) for daily social media activity

    • Boost presence on Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook

    • Manage Twitter/Instagram during events

     

    BASEBALL SCOUTING INTERN

    We are seeking qualified candidates, preferably with strong writing skills and/or video skills. It is required that the candidates have strong writing and compositional skills, and ability to meet deadlines and a strong understanding of the game of baseball.

    Dates: Open

    Pay: This is a paid internship, including assistance for travel expenses

    Location: Flexible and able to work from home

    Primary responsibilities:

    • Write feature stories to be posted on the site's web-site

    • Take video at spring and summer baseball games

    • Write press releases providing details of events to be distributed to the local media.

    • Provide administrative assistance, including but not limited to data entry and web research.

    • Potentially cover games and events, composing scouting recap stories
