Graduate students of UConn:
The Graduate School, Graduate Student Senate, and UConn Foundation present the 1st annual CONVERGE: Graduate Research Symposium on March 8th 2018, demonstrating the extraordinary work you do every day. Submit for an oral or poster presentation with the chance for monetary awards.
Please submit this form to apply for a presentation at the CONVERGE: Graduate Research Symposium. Presentations can either be submitted as oral or poster. Details of monetary awards are listed below. Please only submit to one category.
Oral:
We will accept 4 panels of 6 presentations under the following abstract categories: RESISTANCE, COLOR, SUSTAINABILITY, and MODELING. These categories are intended to be interdisciplinary and thematically inclusive. As you consider submitting, please think of the categories broadly. For instance, "RESISTANCE" could apply to scholarship that incorporates social resistance, electrical resistance, resistance to phenotypic change, or artwork and performance that embodies any of the above.
Presentations will be 15 minutes with no questions. Awards of $250 will be presented to the best presentation in each category.
Poster:
We will accept 60 poster presentations on a first-come, first-served basis. One award of $250 will be presented to the best poster. Posterboards will support 4 foot x 5 foot posters.
Judging:
Oral presentations will be selected based on clear relationship of the abstract to the topic and diversity of disciplines represented in a given session. Judging criteria will be determined at a later time.

9:00 - 10:30 RESISTANCE talk session
10:45 - 12:15 SUSTAINABILITY talk session
12:15 - 1:30 poster session
1:45 - 3:15 MODELING talk session
3:30 - 5:00 COLOR talk session
