  • ASHARE Grant-in-Aid Award

    The American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) gives up to 25 grants for 1 year of grad study in ASHRAE technologies. The awards are administered by the students' University but are meant solely for the students' personal use while pursuing an HVAC&R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration) related education. The grant will be used for the following academic year.

     

    DISCIPLINES
    Physical Sciences. School of Arts and Architecture. School of Engineering. Heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration fields or related areas including indoor air quality and energy conservation, experiments and analysis related to material properties, thermodynamics, building enclosure materials.

     

    ACADEMIC LEVEL
    Prospective Graduate Students. Current Graduate Students.
     

    CITIZENSHIP

    No citizenship requirements.

     

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

    Applications must be submitted by faculty advisor on behalf of the student. Student must submit student history with calculated GPA and description of research project. Advisor must fill out information on Institution and Faculty Advisor. Must be a full-time graduate student. Must be currently working on or proposing to work on a research project that has relevance to ASHRAE. Preference is given to faculty and student members of ASHRAE.

     

    STIPEND

    Stipend of up to $10,000 for 1 year. Non-renewable.
