2016-2017 SASP Professional Development Series: Experiential Counseling
Experiential (or Adventure Based) Counseling promotes social, behavioral and emotional
growth for participants by engaging them in fun and challenging activities, reflecting on
these activities and determining how to apply the new learning in the real world. The
activities we use will create a high level of "buy-in" from even the most disengaged
children, teens and families and promote conversations your groups may otherwise never
have. This workshop uses an experiential immersion approach and will provide you with
an overview of the experiential counseling process as well as several activities you can
