PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERN
Gaffney Bennett Public Relations, a full-service public relations firm in New Britain, is seeking a Spring 2018 intern who is eager to learn all aspects of the PR field.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing communications materials including press releases, media alerts and talking points
- Participating in calls or meetings with clients
- Developing content and strategies to leverage a variety of social media platforms
- Conducting media coverage and issue background research
- Researching and maintaining media or stakeholder contact lists
In addition to solid writing skills, candidates should have the ability to work independently and interact professionally with clients and the media. GBPR has a strong interest in connecting with candidates who have video production and/or social media experience.
Interested applicants should be available to work in our New Britain office 15 to 25 hours per week. Course credit or stipend is available.
