(Competitors must be active PhD and Professional Doctorate (Research) candidates who have successfully passed their confirmation milestone (including candidates whose thesis is under submission) by the date of the competition in April.

WHAT YOU'LL GAIN: In this workshop you will gain a comprehensive overview of public speaking best practices, tips for captivating a diverse audience, and strategies for effective organization. Attendees should have a good sense of the key research that they will share as a 3MT® (Three Minute Thesis) competitor to make the most out of the session. UConn’s live competition will occur Thursday, April 5, 5:00PM – 7:00PM The winning presentation will be submited to the 2018 Universitas 21 Competition.
