    Job Description
    •    Design and maintain iCenter website, ensuring site is welcoming and easy to use and that content is appropriate and updated
    •  Assist in informational or promotional materials for both hardcopy print and web-based formats 
    •  Attend training sessions for website development (UConn Product is Aurora)
    •   Perform basic administration duties such as filing, data entry, word processing, etc.
    •   Conduct research utilizing databases, archives, internet, and other information sources
    •  Troubleshoot and resolve basic user issues regarding website application within department guidelines
    •   At least a sophomore standing and significant knowledge of UConn’s academic and extracurricular opportunities
    •   Full-time undergrad student status
    •  Ability to work under pressures
    •  Strong critical thinking skills 
    •  Design, write, test and /or implement web applications 
    •  Ability to adjust and readjust marketing design based on feedback

    Qualifications:

    •             Strong interpersonal and communications skills (both oral and written)
    •          Experience with web site development (Aurora experience preferred)
    •          Experience creating marketing materials (posters, web sites, etc.)
    •          Customer service and/or analytical experience preferred
    •          Experience in data reporting and analysis (SPSS, Excel, etc.)
    •          Must be able to attend meeting with Registrar staff as needed, though meetings will generally be scheduled during your shifts at the iCenter
    •          Ability to work well with others and have a positive attitude and cheerful disposition

             Ability to multitask, work independently and seek out work during slow periods; must be able to prioritize work during busy periods

     

    Job Requirements

    Work Requirements:

      ·         During the semester, must be available to work at least 3- hour shifts Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:45 and 5:00pm. During the summer, be available to work 7-hour shifts from Monday through Friday

    • Adhere to University Code of Conduct and FERPA (Family Educational and Privacy Act) at all times
    • Ability to follow through with established emergency procedures
    Hourly Rate$10.25/hour to $11.45/hour
