October is National Work & Family Month
In recognition of National Work & Family Month, Human Resources and the Work/Life Oversight Committee are pleased to announce the Work/Life Expo which will be held on October 12, 2017 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Student Union Ballroom. This year’s Expo features over 55 service providers, and health and wellness activities, including flu vaccinations for employees with State of Connecticut Health insurance. We will also be collecting a selection of items for donation to Our Companions Animal Rescue.
Please explore the various seminars and activities that will be held throughout the month of October. More details are available on the Work/Life Month website and will be announced in future editions of the Daily Digest.
Employees are encouraged to attend these events, but please keep in mind that, as is University practice, staff should attend events with supervisory approval and operating needs permitting. Heads of Schools and Colleges, Departments and units are encouraged to facilitate arrangements in their respective offices to support staff members in covering essential office functions during these events.
