    NSF Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences Postdoctoral Research Fellowships

     

    NSF's Directorate for Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences (SBE) offers Postdoctoral Research Fellowships in two tracks: Broadening Participation (SPRF-BP), and Interdisciplinary Research in Behavioral and Social Sciences (SPRF-IBSS).

    Schlumberger Foundation Fellowship for Women from Developing and Emerging Economies
    Faculty for the Future fellowships are awarded to women from developing and emerging economies who are preparing for PhD or post-doctoral study in the physical sciences, engineering, or related disciplines to pursue advanced graduate study at top universities in their disciplines abroad. Related disciplines may also be awarded. For example, awards in biological sciences are limited to interdisciplinary research between physical and biological sciences.

    Science & Technology Policy Fellowships
    Providing opportunities for scientists and engineers to learn first-hand about policymaking while contributing their knowledge and analytical skills in the federal policy realm. AAAS seeks candidates from a broad array of backgrounds and a diversity of geographic, disciplinary, gender, and ethnic perspectives as well as disability status. Fellows have ranged in age from late 20s to early 70s. They represent a spectrum of career stages, from recent PhD graduates to faculty on sabbatical to retired scientists and engineers. Fellows also come from a range of sectors, including academia, industry, non-profit organizations, and government labs.

    Sloan Research Fellowships
    The Sloan Research Fellowships seek to stimulate fundamental research by early-career scientists and scholars of outstanding promise. These two-year fellowships are awarded yearly to researchers in recognition of distinguished performance and a unique potential to make substantial contributions to their field. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in chemistry, computational or evolutionary molecular biology, computer science, economics, mathematics, neuroscience, ocean sciences (including marine biology), physics, or a related field.

    UNESCO-L'Oreal International Fellowships for Young Women in Life Sciences
    Each year, 15 young female researchers at doctoral or postdoctoral levels are awarded a fellowship to enhance their expertise in renowned institutions around the world. The Fellowships are worth up to US$40,000 each and are awarded for a period of up to two years for scientists to undertake projects outside of their home country.
