  • Monday Morning Graduate Writing Retreats

The UConn Writing Center invites UConn graduate students to "Start the Semester Off Write" with 4 quick morning writing retreats. Modeled after our successful full-day writing retreats and four-day dissertation boot camps, these weekly, two-hour retreats feature a space to write and an excuse to do it so you can kick start your semester writing projects. The Writing Center recognizes that writing in big bursts can be helpful, but that smaller, recurring commitments can help form good writing habits throughout the semester. We challenge you to commit to 4 weeks of early morning writing to start the semester off right.

Arrive with the project you are working on now and your laptop, along with any notes or books you need. There will not be any tutoring or any lectures at these sessions.

Please bring your own coffee, and if you’d like, a snack for you and a snack to share!

    Event Details:

    When: Mondays, 9 – 11 am, for the first 4 Mondays of the semester (8/28, 9/11, 9/18, 9/25)

Please note that there will not be a retreat on Labor Day (9/4).

Where: Homer Babbidge Library, Level 2, Writing Center Conference Room
