    Hi Folks,

    You are invited to the flag hoisting ceremony, celebrating 71st Independence Day of India.

    India’s Independence Day is the most important day to all the Indians and has been mentioned forever in the history. It is the day when India got emancipated from the British rule after many years of hardship and struggle. Independence Day is celebrated every year on August 15th to remember the first day of independent India as well as to pay tribute to all the great leaders who had sacrificed their lives in getting freedom for India. To know more about Indian history and celebrate this auspicious day, join us!!

    When: August 15th, 2017  at 9:25 a.m.

    Where: UConn ISSS study lounge

    Schedule: Flag hoisting followed by an Indian national anthem and refreshment.
