COMMuniqué: From COMM Advising

I hope you're all as eager as Katie and I to begin a brand new semester!  We have some exciting events coming up--all of which we'll share with you through the weekly newsletter - The COMMuniqué: From COMM Advising.  This is the last summer issue;  look for the first Fall issue on August 30!

NEED TO TALK TO AN ADVISOR? 

Now might be the best time, if you want to beat the beginning-of-the-year rush!  Check on www.advapp.uconn.edu for an availalbe apppointment time.  Phone advising appointments during the summer are OK!

FALL SEMESTER HOURS:  Beginning AUG 28 (in order to accommodate as many students as possible) the COMM advising office will meet with students on a Walk-in basis only, until the Add-Drop deadline of Mon Sept 11.  Walk-in advising is limited to 15 minutes during the Add-Drop period.

If students need to meet with an advisor for a longer appointment time, please schedule a meeting through AdvApp either BEFORE the semester begins (phone appointments OK); or, beginning on Sept 12 (or contact Joel or Katie by email for special accomodations, in extenuating circumstances).

• Hold on your account?  COMM Advising does NOT place pre-registration advising holds!
  • Click on Details in the Holds & Indicators section of your Student Center (in Student Admin).  Click the hyperlink specifying the Hold Item and you should see contact information or instructions about the nature of the hold.
