2018 PhRMA Foundation Pre Doctoral Fellowship in Pharmacology / Toxicology
The Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) and the Graduate School are pleased to announce this limited submission funding opportunity/award for graduate students. Limited submission programs allow only a select number of applicants from each institution. In order to determine which student will be selected as the official applicant from UConn/UConn Health, an OVPR internal competition may be necessary (full process is described at our website).
All students who wish to be considered for this opportunity must submit a notification of intent to submit form by the due date listed below. Applicants must be selected and approved by the OVPR/Graduate School to be eligible to submit to this sponsor.

Award Details: Up to $20K stipend support for one or two years
Eligibility: Applicants must be full-time, in-residence pharmacology or toxicology students enrolled in U.S. schools of medicine, pharmacy, public health, dentistry, or veterinary medicine. Eligible candidates will have completed most of their pre-thesis requirements (at least two years of study) and be engaged in thesis research as Ph.D. candidates by the time the award is activated. An individual may not simultaneously hold or interrupt any other fellowship providing stipend support while the PhRMA Foundation fellowship is active. All applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
Number of UConn Applicants: 1 across all UConn/UConn Health campuses. (An inquiry has been made to the sponsor to see if UConn Health may have a separate applicant. Please check back for updates.)
Internal Notification of Intent Deadline: 6/30/2017 at noon
Internal Pre-proposal (if necessary) Deadline: 7/14/2017
Sponsor Full Proposal Deadline (invite-only): 9/1/2017
Additional information: If more than one Notification of Intent is received by the deadline, instructions will be sent to all interested parties regarding what should be included in the pre-proposal.
