The Graduate School is providing the funding for 50 graduate students to attend this year’s Women’s Advance Conference. The funding is available on a first registered, first served basis. The registration deadline has been extended to Thursday, April 27th.
The UConn Women’s Advance Conference is a professional development opportunity for women staff, faculty, and graduate students at all levels of the University that is designed to expand skills, increase knowledge, and enhance networks to promote a more inclusive and supportive working and learning environment at the University. This year’s conference, "Turning the Tide: Together We Rise" is scheduled for Tuesday, May 9th, 2017 from 8:30 am to 4:30 p.m. on the Avery Point campus.
Sponsored by the UConn Women’s Center, the Provost’s Office, and the Office for Diversity and Inclusion, this conference is an important tool in our efforts to retain our women faculty, staff, and graduate students and reflects the University’s commitment to excellence and inclusiveness.
