For graduate assistants who were employed in the Spring Semester with children enrolled in state-licensed childcare facilities or bona fide after school programs, the Graduate Employee Union-UAW has a childcare reimbursement program. The instructions and application can be found here. All applications must be received by May 1 to be eligible for reimbursement. More details are available in the application or in our collective bargaining agreement.
Note: To be eligible, you must have been employed by the University as a graduate assistant and covered by the GEU-UAW collective bargaining agreement for the period of reimbursement (Jan 15-May 1, 2017). An approved application does not guarantee full reimbursement for childcare costs.
