    American Water Resources Association – Richard A. Herbert Memorial Scholarship

    At least one $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a full-time graduate student enrolled in a program relating to water resources for the 2015-2016 academic year. Scholarships will be awarded to the student most qualified by academic performance. Each applicant must be a national AWRA member. Consider becoming a member! Measures of academic performance include the cumulative grade point average, relevance of the student's curriculum to water resources, and leadership in extracurricular activities related to water resources.

    Forensic Sciences Foundation Jan S. Bashinski Grant

    The award is to provide Graduate Students with ­financial assistance to complete their thesis or independent research project as required for a graduate degree in Criminalistics/Forensic Sciences. The thesis or research project must be in the field of Criminalistics/Forensic Sciences.

    Raptor Research Foundation (RRF) Dean Amadon Grant

    The grant is designed to assist those working in the area of distribution and systematics (taxonomy) of raptors. Systematics covers a wide array of interests from molecular work to differential migration of populations from various geographic regions, for example. Distribution also covers a wide array of interests but should have something to do with where raptors live or why they are there. Applicants should indicate how their project fits into the area of raptor distribution and/or systematics.

    US Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science (OS) Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) Program

    The goal of the Office of Science Graduate Student Research (SCGSR) program is to prepare graduate students for science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) careers critically important to the DOE Office of Science mission, by providing graduate thesis research opportunities at DOE laboratories. The SCGSR program provides supplemental awards to outstanding U.S. graduate students to pursue part of their graduate thesis research at a DOE laboratory in areas that address scientific challenges central to the Office of Science mission. The research opportunity is expected to advance the graduate students' overall doctoral thesis while providing access to the expertise, resources, and capabilities available at the DOE laboratories.
