Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences - Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting
The Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting is an international screenwriting competition established to identify and encourage talented new screenwriters. Entry scripts must be the original work of one writer, or of two writers who collaborated equally, and must be written originally in English. Adaptations and translated scripts are not eligible. Up to five $35,000 fellowships are awarded each year to promising new screenwriters. Screenwriters who have not earned more than $25,000 writing fictional work for film or television are eligible to apply.

Arts Learning Grants – Arizona Commission on the Arts
Arts Learning Collaboration Grants enhance the work of arts educators, classroom teachers and school-based arts programs through collaborative projects taking place in-school (during regular school hours), after-school, or during summer/inter-session and in-services. Collaborative projects can take a variety of forms but must be submitted in one of the following categories:
- Planning: Future project planning, curriculum development, evaluation, resource development, etc.
- Professional Development: Training and learning for certified arts educators, classroom teachers, administration, teacher/artist teams, etc.
- Student Learning: Sequential, hands-on learning in, through, and/or about the arts.

Boston Athenæum Short-Term Fellowships
The Boston Athenæum offers short-term fellowships to support the use of Athenæum collections for research, publication, curriculum and program development, or other creative projects. Each fellowship pays a stipend for a residency of twenty days (four weeks) and includes a year’s membership to the Boston Athenæum. Scholars, graduate students, independent scholars, teaching faculty, and professionals in the humanities as well as teachers and librarians in secondary public, private, and parochial schools are eligible.

Coalition for Western Women’s History Prize for Ph.D. Research
The $1,000 prize supports travel to collections or other research expenses related to the histories of women and gender in the American West. Applicants must be enrolled in a Ph.D. program and be members of the Coalition of Western Women’s History (CWWH) at the time of application. The prize honors the memory of Irene Ledesma, whose contributions to Chicana and working-class history were ended by her untimely death in 1997.

Study of Terrorism Travel Award
The National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START) offers a travel grant program for current graduate students working on issues related to terrorism and responses to terrorism. Students may apply through our website for research support grants of $500 per award.

Women’s Philanthropy Institute Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship
