    The Statistical Consulting Service (SCS) at the University of Connecticut is pleased to

    announce the launch of a set of three sessions. Topics to be covered include:

     

    1. Model Selection and Dimension Reduction: Dealing with High-Dimensional Analysis (9:30 am -11:30 am)
    2. Statistics for Collaborative Research Grants: Strategies for Power Analysis and Statistical Plans (1:00 pm-2:30 pm)
    3. An Overview of Repeated Measure Analysis (3:00 pm - 4:30 pm)

     

    Participants will get an overview of two topics and a hands on, live demonstration of

    examples in the session 1 and 3. In Session 2, you will learn how to develop a comprehensive Statistical considerations section for an external National Institute of Health (NIH) R01 research grant when collaborating with statisticians.   All disciplines and statistical backgrounds are welcome to attend these free workshops presented by SCS.

    Who: Any UConn or UCHC faculty, post-doc, and graduate students.

    There is no registration fee. Lunch will be provided to all participants in the Union Street Market (USM) in the student union. All participants need to pick up lunch cards during registration on May 10.  Please sign up for any sessions number (1, 2, or 3) you are interested in.
