Dates and Deadlines

  • Last Day to Drop or Cancel Pass-Fail Grading

    Final Drop Date
The last day to drop a course during the Spring semester is Monday, March 27.  After this date, course drops require a petition to be filed with the Dean's office: http://clasadvising.uconn.edu/latedrop/

In order to drop a course, you must complete the Schedule Revision Request (SSR) form: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4Wtt6EPQ4-Ra0pWNWhISk9Mdzg/view

The SSR form will require your advisor’s signature and must be delivered to the Registrar’s Office.  Please come in during Walk-in hours for advisor signatures; or, make an appointment through AdvApp, if you have concerns about the impact of the course drop.

If you receive financial aid or scholarships, please check with the FInancial Aid office in the Bursar's office, and review information on the Satisfactory Academic Progress policy.  If you have questions on the SAP policy, please contact the Financial Aid Office.

Dropping a course with a grade of W will NOT affect full-time status, because the W is considered a grade (without gpa impact).

    Cancelling Pass Fail Grading
To revert a course placed on Pass-Fail Grading back to Letter grading, students must complete the Pass-Fail Cancellation form, found on the Registrar's forms page: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4Wtt6EPQ4-RMFJqLTJZQ2hZSEU/view.  This form does NOT need additional signatures but MUST be submitted to the Registrar's office before it closes on Monday March 27.

WARNING: Courses kept on Pass-Fail grading CANNOT be used to satisfy Major, Related, Minor, or Gen Ed requirements.  Courses with a Pass grade can ONLY be used to satisfy credit requirements--such as for elective courses contributing toward the 120 credit minimum or the 45 credit rule.  If you're not certain, ask your advisor!
