  • University of Connecticut Workplace Climate Survey

President Herbst and the Something’s Happening Committee (SHC), a grassroots effort on the Storrs campus working to create a respectful work environment for all UConn employees, invite you to participate in UConn’s second Workplace Climate Survey. An initial survey was conducted in Fall 2012. Results from this survey can be found at http://www.respect.uconn.edu. The survey is designed to provide guidance on where improvement might be beneficial for the UConn community as well as other organizations.

All full-time, permanent UConn employees at the Storrs and Regional Campuses, including Graduate Assistants, should have received an e-mail from President Herbst on February 28th inviting you to participate in the survey. You can access the survey with the link provided in this e-mail.

The survey should take approximately 20 minutes to complete and can be completed during regular working hours. The survey will remain available until March 28th.

We truly hope that you will take the time to complete the survey as these results will be used to implement strategies toward long-term positive change. Please answer the questions honestly; this is an opportunity to have your voice heard. To help ensure that you feel comfortable doing so, the survey is designed to be completely anonymous.

For employees who do not have access to a computer, you can complete the survey at one of the times/locations around campus listed on the Something’s Happening respect website, http://www.respect.uconn.edu.  If you would prefer a Spanish version of the survey, you can request one during any of these times/locations.

If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Vicki Magley or Kathleen Holgerson (members of the Something’s Happening committee) at respect@uconn.edu
