  • Environmental COMM at CCSU - Study Abroad

The course is a three-week safari through southern Africa (Namibia, Botswana, Zambia). The best part of Africa - perfectly safe, fascinating tribal cultures and tons of wildlife to view (more than in any other part of Africa).

The academic focus of the course is on environmental communication, wildlife conservation, and behavior change. It will run from July 5 - 26, 2017.  It is offered for both undergraduate and graduate credit.

Registration details can be found at: http://web.ccsu.edu/cie/courseAbroad/?course=65

See the following link for photos from the same course that was run two years ago: http://s1378.photobucket.com/user/ccsu2014africa/library/

The deadline for registration is March 15  - the number of seats is very limited (8, maybe 9). 7 seats are spoken for already, so don't delay. Registration is now open. The cost of this trip is $5500 and this includes all transportation, admission fees and most meals.

Professor Ben Tyson will be running the course/tour - he has extensive experience in this part of the world - and ran the trip once before and based on everyone's past experience, assures you that it will be a blast.

Please contact him directly ASAP if you are interested to get on his priority list for registration.  He can be reached at: tysonc@ccsu.edu  or phone 860-832-2699.
